Every other NYC concrete contractor hides pricing behind a contact form. We don't. Below is the actual 2026 price range homeowners pay across Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, the Bronx, Manhattan, Long Island and Westchester — broken down per square foot and per project, with the borough variance baked in.
2026 NYC concrete driveway price table
| Service | NYC Range 2026 | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Standard concrete driveway replacement | $8–$15/sqft | 4000 PSI mix — single-car (400 sqft) = $3,200–$6,000 |
| Full replacement (2-car, 600 sqft) | $4,800–$9,000 | Includes demo + base prep + 4000 PSI pour |
| Stamped / decorative concrete | $18–$28/sqft | Premium finish — typical job $7,200–$11,200 |
| Exposed aggregate concrete | $12–$20/sqft | Mid-tier premium, popular in Queens & Staten Island |
| Concrete driveway apron only | $1,500–$3,500 | Curb cut to property line — most common failure point |
| Concrete resurfacing | $3–$9/sqft | Viable only if base is solid — often upsells to full pour |
| Demolition + disposal only | $2–$4/sqft | If homeowner is pouring separately |
| DOB permit (driveway, NYC) | $75–$250 | Required when driveway meets the city street |
| Manhattan premium (access surcharge) | +20–30% | Staging, street closure, restricted access |
Borough-by-borough cost variance
The same 4000 PSI concrete pour does not cost the same across the 5 boroughs. Crew mobilization, parking, dumpster permits and access all change the per-square-foot rate.
Brooklyn — $8–$13/sqft
Rowhouse driveways in Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights and Canarsie tend to be 350–500 sqft. Tight shared driveways add a small access premium; standalone driveways come in at the low end of the range.
Queens — $8–$14/sqft
Queens has the widest driveway variety in NYC. Flushing, Astoria and Jamaica detached homes often run 500–800 sqft driveways, which dilutes the per-sqft rate. Largest borough area = most jobs we pour.
Staten Island — $7–$13/sqft
Most suburban borough by far — wider lots, easier truck access, lowest mobilization cost. Per-capita driveway density is the highest in NYC, so we're often pouring multiple driveways per street.
Bronx — $8–$14/sqft
Riverdale, Co-op City and Pelham Bay are the strongest detached-home zones. Eden General is Bronx-based and competes hard here on price — we beat them on published spec, written warranty, and the .nyc domain trust signal.
Manhattan — +20–30% above borough baseline
Carriage house and townhouse driveways in Harlem and Upper Manhattan are a niche. Expect a flat 20–30% access surcharge for staging, street closure permits and restricted truck access. A $6,000 Brooklyn driveway becomes $7,200–$7,800 in Manhattan.
What drives concrete driveway cost in NYC
- Concrete strength. 4000 PSI is the NYC standard. 3000 PSI residential mixes are cheaper per yard but fail inside 10 years in NYC freeze-thaw.
- Reinforcement. Wire mesh is base spec. Rebar adds $1–$2/sqft and is required for any driveway holding 2+ vehicles or commercial loads.
- Demolition + disposal. Tearing out an existing slab and hauling it legally adds $2–$4/sqft. NYC charges by weight at every transfer station.
- DOB permit. $75–$250 plus filing labor. Required when the driveway connects to a city street via a curb cut.
- Manhattan access. Street closure, parking suspension, restricted-hours pouring — flat +20–30% surcharge.
- Finish. Broom finish is standard. Stamped, exposed aggregate, integral color and sealing all add to the per-sqft rate.
NYC driveway size calculator
Quick math for the most common NYC driveway dimensions, using a midpoint $12/sqft 4000 PSI pour:
| Driveway size | Square feet | Replacement cost (typical) |
|---|---|---|
| Single-car (10' × 20') | 200 sqft | $1,600–$3,000 |
| Single-car standard (10' × 40') | 400 sqft | $3,200–$6,000 |
| Two-car (20' × 30') | 600 sqft | $4,800–$9,000 |
| Two-car wide (24' × 40') | 960 sqft | $7,680–$14,400 |
| Long driveway / RV (12' × 60') | 720 sqft | $5,760–$10,800 |
Manhattan homeowners: budget the access premium up front.
A 400 sqft Manhattan carriage-house driveway typically lands at $4,000–$7,200 including the 20–30% access surcharge. We file the DOT street-closure paperwork on your behalf.
What's not included in a low-ball estimate
If a NYC competitor quotes you under $7/sqft for concrete driveway replacement, ask which of these they're cutting:
- 3000 PSI mix instead of 4000 PSI (fails in NYC freeze-thaw)
- No rebar — wire mesh only, on a 2-car driveway
- Skipping the DOB permit entirely (you inherit the violation)
- No demo/disposal — they pour over the cracked slab
- 2–3" base instead of 4–6" compacted gravel
- No written warranty, no insurance certificate
